What is the minimum age for a race participant? 14 years old on race day.

Can I participate in a three-person team?  No, sorry, not this year!  However, we hope the event will take off and we'll be able to expand race options in the future to include three-person teams, a mountain bike race, a running race, and a kids race!

I've never been to Duluth, what are the trails like?  We have nearly 100 miles of singletrack in Duluth and the trails are as varied as the terrain itself.  Mission Creek, the trail system the Duluth Dual, will be on can be described as flowing, with lots of wide bridges and scenic views, and non-technical.  To learn more about all the trails Duluth has to offer visit:

I've never ridden a mountain bike before, but I bike on the road often, should I do this race?  We would encourage you to borrow, rent, or purchase a mountain bike prior to the race to ensure you have plenty of practice on trails before racing on them.  Riding on trails is much different than riding on road especially in race conditions.  However, you could sign up as a team!  If you're comfortable running trails find a mountain biking buddy to complete the bike portion of the race!
